when i was about seven a bunch of girls i hung out with wanted to start a girl band inspired by the beach boys. what if in some other dimension we did it and now we were over-the-hill has-beens which is no comment on the beach boys, just speculative with regard to alternate realities and the fact that every single one of the infinite possibilities could theoretically be no better than this one.
