once i went fishing and the trout swam back and forth, back and forth
past my line like it was some kind of a joke - not even!
like it was a piece of background scenery, completely irrelevant to them.
i thought it was funny but only because standing in the water puts me in a good mood
and i wasn't hungry.
it's boring, repetitive and unoriginal
there's no drama, romance, heroism or pathos
but i want to tell you my fishing tale,
just once and so earnestly that you hear it
as if it were the lost, true story of creation itself
