dear evey,

i would never want this conversation we're having to ever get too overtly political.
though the tired assertion that everything is seems to be true, god knows the internet beams out about as much political rhetoric as it does porn. i am surprised they aren't combined more often and don't wish to add to the surplus.

nonetheless, there is a federal election coming up and, as you may guess, i live in a riding that (except for a brief stint during  the mulroney era) has been a hold out for liberal and ndp captains to play musical chairs since the 1970's at least.

walking home for lunch this afternoon i noticed one conservative party sign on a lawn on my street. only one. the person also has a sign on their door which quotes dirty harry: "go ahead! make my day!"

i think it's possible that conservative politics has gotten to be less about small government; isolationist principles in foreign policy; family values; etc. and has just gotten plain meaner.

as a voter i think you gotta ask yourself: "do you feel lucky?"
well do you punk?"

love, jack
